How can I contact metro staff?
If you wish to report an incident or make an enquiry regarding the service, you can contact metro staff via the intercoms.
What should I do if there is an emergency in the metro?

Can I change between different bus routes and between the bus and metro with the same ticket?
What will be the next changes made to the new bus network and when will they take place?
What about the existing lines?
Many lines stay the same: all interurban lines, all Bus del Barri lines and other local lines, even if they don't bear the Bus del Barri sign. A number of urban lines also remain in service to cover demand in all neighbourhoods.
To avoid repetition, existing lines that coincide with new lines will be replaced by them.
Some lines continue to operate with variations to routes (such as the 50, following the entry into service of the H12).
How often to new network buses run?
New network buses run every five to eight minutes in the middle of the working day. First thing in the morning and last thing at night they are less frequent. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, supply is adapted to demand with buses running every eleven to twenty minutes most of the day. In any case, the new buses run more frequently.

When do travel cards purchased in 2015 expire?
Travel cards purchased in 2015 have expired. Expired travel cards that are completely unused can be exchanged for new ones (without reimbursement for the difference in price)at any Punt TMB until 30 June.
From what age must children have a validated ticket?
From age four onwards, under that age they are exempt from having a ticket. All other passengers must have an appropriate ticket which must be validated.
Can I change lines if I have a single ticket?
Single tickets are not part of the integrated fare system and do not entitle you to change between buses or different types of transport. A single validated metro ticket entitles you to change lines, provided that you do so using the passages and do not leave the station.
How many times can I change transport with one validation of an integrated travel card?
Integrated travel cards with a limited number of journeys entitle you to make up to three changes (that is, you can use up to four modes of transport), regardless of the number of zones the card covers. However, you cannot change from one bus to another of the same number or enter the metro more than once.
With one-zone travel cards you have up to 75 minutes to change transport as of the first validation. This time limit increases by 15 minutes for each additional zone.
When using integrated travel cards with unlimited journeys there is no limit to the number of changes you can make or the time in which to make them.
Can a single travel card be shared by several people on one journey?
Yes, several people can use the same travel card, provided that it is a multi-person card (e.g. T-10 or T-70/30), and is validated for all the people travelling together on that card. On the metro, they must all stay together until they leave the premises. On the bus, they get can get off at different stops, but the person who has the card must get off last.
Where can I change a travel card?
If you have travel cards eligible for change that you have not been able to change on the bus or at a metro station, you can change them at any Punt TMB information and customer service centre.
I've bought the wrong travel card from a machine. What can I do?
If you have bought the wrong travel card at a machine in the metro, go to a Punt TMB and, provided that you haven't used it, they will change it for a suitable one at the same price.
Which travel card works out cheapest?
Are there discounts on the price of travel cards?
Yes, but certain requirements must be met to be eligible, You can check the requirements and conditions in "Discount travel cards". You may also find the information on the Discount on T-Trimestre travel cards of interest.
What is the difference between a free and a reduced-fare Targeta Rosa?
Holders of a free targeta rosa are obliged to make a single annual payment to cover administrative costs and compulsory passenger insurance. The cost in 2015 is €6.45. Holders of free TRs should validate them (mark them) whenever they travel on public transport and have their ID card or equivalent as proof of identity.
Holders of a reduced-fare Targeta Rosa are entitled to use the T-4 travel card. You should validate your T-4 when you travel on public transport and have your Targeta Rosa and ID card or equivalent with you as proof of identity.
The use of one or other Targeta Rosa (free or reduced-fare) depends on the annual income of the holder and the municipality in which they are registered as resident.
How can I get an invoice for my travel cards?
Just go along to a Punt TMB with your travel cards and tax details; they'll prepare your invoice while you wait.
What should I do if I find a lost item on the bus or metro?
If you find an item on the transport services we operate (metro, bus, Montjuïc funicular, Montjuïc cable car, Barcelona Bus Turístic or Tramvia Blau), hand it in to a member of staff.
How can I find out whether an item left on the bus or metro has been found?

What should I do if I have to pay a penalty fare of €100?
In the section Infringements and statements we explain the term for payment, reductions and where to pay penalty fares imposed for fraud offences. You will also find information how to lodge a statement (the deadline for doing so and what supporting documents you should submit depending on your case).
What should I do if proceedings are brought against me for uncivilised behaviour?
TMB only administers proceedings for fraud offences on the metro and bus. In the case of uncivilised behaviour, we report incidents to the Authorities who then initiate proceedings. You will find information on how and when to lodge a statement of claim on the notification that proceedings are being brought.
