How can I contact metro staff?
If you wish to report an incident or make an enquiry regarding the service, you can contact metro staff via the intercoms.
What should I do if there is an emergency in the metro?

What are the bus operating hours?
You can find the timetables for each TMB bus line in the "Barcelona bus" section, choose a line, click on "Information on stops", then on the type of day you are looking for.

How can I find out when my bus is due?

Can I change between different bus routes and between the bus and metro with the same ticket?
What will be the next changes made to the new bus network and when will they take place?
What about the existing lines?
Many lines stay the same: all interurban lines, all Bus del Barri lines and other local lines, even if they don't bear the Bus del Barri sign. A number of urban lines also remain in service to cover demand in all neighbourhoods.
To avoid repetition, existing lines that coincide with new lines will be replaced by them.
Some lines continue to operate with variations to routes (such as the 50, following the entry into service of the H12).
How often to new network buses run?
New network buses run every five to eight minutes in the middle of the working day. First thing in the morning and last thing at night they are less frequent. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, supply is adapted to demand with buses running every eleven to twenty minutes most of the day. In any case, the new buses run more frequently.

When do travel cards purchased in 2017 expire?
Generally speaking travel cards purchased in 2017 expire on 28 February 2018. Quarterly travel cards (T-trimestre, T-trimestre FM/FN, T-jove, T-jove FM/FN and T-FM/FN 70/90) expire on 31 March 2018.
Travel cards purchased in 2017 that are unused can be exchanged for the same type of card valid for this year upon payment of the difference in price. Such exchanges can be requested at Punt TMB information centres until 30 June 2018.
From what age must children have a validated ticket?
From age four onwards, under that age they are exempt from having a ticket. All other passengers must have an appropriate ticket which must be validated.
How can I get a T-16?
Apply for a T-16 on the ATM website.
I am unemployed. Can I get a travel card cheaper?
Yes, see the requirements you have to meet to qualify for a subsidised T-Mes.
Can I change lines if I have a single ticket?
Single tickets are not part of the integrated fare system and do not entitle you to change between buses or different types of transport. A single validated metro ticket entitles you to change lines, provided that you do so using the passages and do not leave the station.
How many times can I change transport with one validation of an integrated travel card?
Integrated travel cards with a limited number of journeys entitle you to make up to three changes (that is, you can use up to four modes of transport), regardless of the number of zones the card covers. However, you cannot change from one bus to another of the same number or enter the metro more than once.
With one-zone travel cards you have up to 75 minutes to change transport as of the first validation. This time limit increases by 15 minutes for each additional zone.
When using integrated travel cards with unlimited journeys there is no limit to the number of changes you can make or the time in which to make them.
Can a single travel card be shared by several people on one journey?
Yes, several people can use the same travel card, provided that it is a multi-person card (e.g. T-10 or T-70/30), and is validated for all the people travelling together on that card. On the metro, they must all stay together until they leave the premises. On the bus, they get can get off at different stops, but the person who has the card must get off last.
Where can I change a travel card?
If you have travel cards eligible for change that you have not been able to change on the bus or at a metro station, you can change them at any Punt TMB information and customer service centre.
I've bought the wrong travel card from a machine. What can I do?
If you have bought the wrong travel card at a machine in the metro, go to a Punt TMB and, provided that you haven't used it, they will change it for a suitable one at the same price.
Which travel card works out cheapest?
Are there discounts on the price of travel cards for large and single-parent families?
Yes, there. Specific travel cards are available at lower than standard prices for members of large (FN) and single-parent (FM) families. There are two types of discount: one for general large and single-parent families and one for special large and single-parent families. See the requirements and terms for each type of travel card by filtering by Families in Integrated tickets and multi-journey tickets.
Are there discounts on the price of travel cards?
Yes, but certain requirements must be met to be eligible, You can check the requirements and conditions in "Discount travel cards". You may also find the information on the Discount on T-Trimestre travel cards of interest.
What is the difference between a free and a reduced-fare Targeta Rosa?
Holders of a free targeta rosa are obliged to make a single annual payment to cover administrative costs and compulsory passenger insurance. The cost in 2017 is €6.58. Holders of free TRs should validate them (mark them) whenever they travel on public transport and have their ID card or equivalent as proof of identity.
Holders of a reduced-fare Targeta Rosa are entitled to use the T-4 travel card. You should validate your T-4 when you travel on public transport and have your Targeta Rosa and ID card or equivalent with you as proof of identity.
The use of one or other Targeta Rosa (free or reduced-fare) depends on the annual income of the holder and the municipality in which they are registered as resident.
How can I get to and from the airport on public transport?

What should I do if I find a lost item on the bus or metro?
If you find an item on the transport services we operate (metro, bus, Montjuïc funicular, Montjuïc cable car, Barcelona Bus Turístic or Tramvia Blau), hand it in to a member of staff.
How can I find out whether an item left on the bus or metro has been found?

What should I do if I have to pay a penalty fare of €100?
In the section Infringements and statements we explain the term for payment, reductions and where to pay penalty fares imposed for fraud offences. You will also find information how to lodge a statement (the deadline for doing so and what supporting documents you should submit depending on your case).
What should I do if proceedings are brought against me for uncivilised behaviour?
TMB only administers proceedings for fraud offences on the metro and bus. In the case of uncivilised behaviour, we report incidents to the Authorities who then initiate proceedings. You will find information on how and when to lodge a statement of claim on the notification that proceedings are being brought.

How do I register in the JoTMBé personal area?
You can register in the JoTMBé personal area via:
- An email address and password.
- Facebook or Google, using your login credentials. Once you're in the personal area, if you want, you can also set a password.
I already have a user account. Do I have to register again?
No. If you are already registered with JoTMBé, you don't have to do it again. Your user account gives you access to all the services and benefits JoTMBé offers.
Why can't I register with JoTMBé?
Make sure your email address is valid. Check you've entered it properly and that you haven't already created an account with the same address.
You can not create more than one account with the same email address.
I've forgotten by JoTMBé password. What do I do?
If you've forgotten the password for your JoTMBé account, proceed as follows:
- Go to "start session" and click on "Forgotten your password?"
- Next, enter the email address you used to register in the JoTMBé personal area and click on "Send".
- You will receive an email at this address containing a link to reset your password. If you can't see an email with the subject reset password in your inbox, check it is not in the spam folder.
We recommend registering with an email address you use regularly so it's easier to remember when starting a session. Another, easy way to access your personal area is via Facebook or Google.
Why can't I log in?
If you can't access your personal area in JoTMBé, it may be because your account has not been activated. If you log in and the following message appears: "This user has not been activated", it means you have not activated your account. To do so, click on the link in the email you received when you registered. If you can't find the email, even in the spam folder, you can get it again by clicking on "Forgotten your password?" in "Log in".
Can I access my personal area with a different login option?
Yes, you can access your personal area with a different login option from the one you used when you registered, but the email address you gave when you registered must be the same as the one associated with your Facebook or Google account to access your personal area. If the email address is different, it will create a new user account for you.
How can I take part in JoTMBé promotions?
To enjoy JoTMBé promotions, go to "Promotions". Then click on "Take part" for the promotion of your choice. You will be sent to a new page explaining how to take part.
In addition to being registered with JoTMBé, you may be required to provide other information to take part.
Can I manage my queries and preferences in TMB App too?
Yes. Identify yourself to TMB App using your JoTMBé account and you can access your personal area, where you can manage and consult favourites, places and journeys, and personal settings, just as you can from the TMB website.

How can I download TMB App?
This depends on your device's operating system:
- For Android devices, download TMB App from Google Play.
- For iOs (iPhone), download TMB App from the App Store.
Why do I have to register in TMB App to access personalised services?
To access your personalised information, such as your favourites, places and saved journeys, you must register in the JoTMBé personal area using an email address and a password or via a Facebook or Google account, using your login credentials.
Remember that your personal data is protected by law, pursuant to JoTMBé terms and conditions.
Do I have to log in every time I want to access information in TMB App?
No, you only have to log in once, when you register with JoTMBé. After that, you'll have direct access to all your info, as the system will have saved your credentials.
If the app is updated, you will be required to log in again, but all the personalised information you saved in your JoTMBé account will still be there. To make this step quicker and easier, we have included an option to register via Facebook and Google.
What are the features of TMB App?
TMB App lets you personalise your welcome screen, quickly access your favourites, places and saved journeys and receive alerts on bus and metro stops, lines and stations, so that you have all the information you need to travel on public transport at your fingertips.

Can I manage my personalised information saved in the app from a computer?
Yes. Identify yourself on the website using your JoTMBé account and you can access your personal area, manage your favourites and settings just as you can in TMB App.
Which mobile operating system versions is TMB App compatible with?
The minimum requirements to download or update TMB App are Android 4.4 or later and iOS 9.0 or later.
