How can I contact a metro employee?
Whenever you are affected by an incident or wish to inquire about aspects regarding our services, you can contact metro staff through the intercom systems.
What should I do in an emergency on the metro?
Contact the metro staff or the security guards.
Where can I find information on any modifications planned in transport?
The Service status section gives updated information for you to plan your journey with the TMB metro and bus:

What is the timetable of the bus service?
To consult the timetable of each TMB bus route, you can access the "Bus Barcelona" section, select the specific route, click on "Information on bus stops" and choose the day of the week you wish.

How can I find out the expected frequency of the bus?
You can find out the frequency of a bus route at a specific bus stop through theiBus service. You can consult iBus at the bus stop, if it has information screens, or through the TMBapp and TMBMaps mobile applications.
Where can I get a map of the bus network?
You can consult and download, in PDF, a map of the bus network in this website. You can also consult the route and location of bus stops of each TMB bus route in the TMB "Bus Barcelona" section of this website.
Can I travel with animals, luggage or bicycles?
The "Recommendations of use and civic respect" details when it is possible to travel on the bus with animals, take bicycles on board and the type of luggage you can carry.
What is a double bus stop?
We explain what a double bus stop is and other aspects of the bus service in "How to travel by bus".
Can I transfer between different bus routes with the same ticket, like the metro network?
No. The single ticket is not an integrated ticket and it is not permitted to make transfers which mean getting off the transport used. In the metro, the only transfers permitted with a single ticket are those done through the inside corridors. You can consult other information regarding "Conditions of use of tickets" or the characteristics of each ticket on "Metro and bus fares".
What are the upcoming changes of the new bus network, and when will they be introduced?
You can be updated on the implementation of the new bus network in the "New bus network" section.
What will happen to the current routes?
Many routes will be maintained: all interurban routes, all Bus del Barri (District bus) routes and other local routes, even though they do not display the Bus del Barri name. Some urban routes, needed to cover all districts, will also continue.
In order to avoid duplication, the existing routes that coincide with new routes, will be replaced by these new routes.
Some routes will be maintained with variations in the route (such as number 50, as a result of the implementation of the H12).
At what frequency do the new routes of the new bus network run?
The new routes of the new bus network pass every five to twenty minutes during the middle of business days. During early morning and late in the evening, they run more frequently. At weekends and holidays, frequency is adapted to the demand and buses run every eleven to twenty minutes in the majority of time slots. The new routes will improve the existing service in all cases.

Where can I find information on the Montjuïc funicular railway?
This transport forms part of the metro network and links with L2 and L3. On accessing the Montjuïc funicular railway line, you will find all the information you need, such as times, route and accessibility.

When do transport tickets purchased in 2017 expire?
As a general rule, transport tickets purchased in 2017 expire on 28 February 2018. Quarterly transport tickets (T-trimestre, T-trimestre FM/FN, T-jove, T-jove FM/FN i T-FM/FN 70/90), expire on 31 March 2018.
Expired tickets of 2017 that have not been started to be used, can be exchanged for tickets of the same type of current year, by paying the corresponding difference in price. . This exchange can be requested at Punts TMB. The deadline is 30 June 2018.
Until what age are children exempt from having to validate a transport ticket?
Children under four are exempt from having a transport ticket. Remaining travelers need to have a valid, correct and paid ticket.
How can I apply for the T-16?
Apply for the T-16 in the ATM website.
I am unemployed at present. Can I buy a cheaper transport pass?
Yes, consult the requirements you have to meet to purchase the T-Mes bonificada.
Does a single ticket include the right to make transfers
Single tickets are not integrated and therefore transfers are not permitted between different bus routes or different types of transport. A single ticket validated on the metro permits you to transfer between different metro lines, as long as the link corridors are used to change lines.
How many transfers can I made with one validation of an integrated ticket?
With integrated passes of a limited number of journeys, it is possible to make up to three transfers (meaning up to four means of transport), regardless of the number of zones of the pass. However, with the same validation, it is not possible to transfer from one bus to another of the same route, nor enter the metro more than once.
A one-area pass allows you to make transfers for 75 minutes after the first validation. This limit increases by 15 minutes for every additional zone.
Unlimited, integrated travel passes do not have any limitation in the number of transfers nor the time slot when they can be done.
Can a pass be shared between several people on the same journey?
Yes, several people can use the same pass, as long as it is a multi-person pass (for example T-10 or T-70/30), it is correctly validated for the number of people and that they travel together. In the metro, they must make the route together from when they enter to when they exit the metro installations. On buses, they can separate, but the person carrying the pass must be the last one to get off the bus.
Where can I change a transport pass?
The passes valid for transport managed by us, which cannot be changed on buses or at stations, can be changed at Punts TMB.
What can I do if I make a mistake when purchasing a pass from a ticket vending machine?
If you have purchased a pass at the ticket vending machines of the Barcelona metro and it is not the one you want, please go to Punts TMB Customer Service. If it has not been used, you can exchange it for another pass with similar, appropriate characteristics and at an equivalent amount.
Which card is more economical?
Do single-parent or large families have a discount in transport passes?
Yes. There are some specific passes, which are more economical than standard passes, for single-parent families (FM) and large families (FN. There are two types of discount: One for general single-parent or large families, and another for special single-parent or large families. Consult the requirements and terms of each pass in detail, by applying the Families filter of the web page Integrated tickets and passes.
What is the difference between free fares and reduced, tarjeta rosa fares?
The free targeta rosa pass has a single annual payment for management and compulsory insurance expenses of travelers. In 2017, the payment was 6.58 euros. For correct use, you should validate (mark it at the ticket barrier) the tarjeta rosa every time you use public transport. You should carry your ID card or equivalent document on you, to check that the user is also the holder.
The reduced-fare targeta rosa gives you the right to use the T-4. The T-4 should be validated whenever you use public transport. You should always carry your targeta rosa and ID card, or any other document proving your identity.
A targeta rosa or another pass (free fare or reduced fare) can be obtained depending on annual income and the municipality where the person is registered.

What are the public transport options to connect with the airport?

What should I do if I find lost property while traveling on the metro or bus?
If you find lost property on the services managed by us (metro, bus, Montjuïc funicular railway, Montjuïc cable car, Barcelona Bus Turístic and Tramvia Blau), you can hand it in to the TMB employer on duty.
How can I find out information on lost property on the bus or metro?

How can I make a complaint, claim or suggestion?

What steps should I take if I have been asked for a minimum payment of 100 €?
Infringements and statements explains the terms, the rebate and place for payment of minimum payments for fraud. You will also find information on how to proceed to present a statement (the deadline and what documentation should be provided, depending on the case).
What steps can I take if I have been identified as committing anti-social behavior?
We only manage records opened on the metro and bus regarding infringements for fraud. In the case of anti-social behavior, we report the matter to the corresponding Administration, which starts the inquiry. In the section on the notification of the start of an inquiry, you will find information on how to present a statement and the deadline.
What does JoTMBé offer you?
JoTMBé offers advantages and services so that you always have the personal information you need, easily and quickly, when traveling on TMB public transport.
If you register in the personal area of JoTMBé, you can store your favorite routes, stops and stations, configure your alerts on the status of the service and speed-up your searches through your places and routes. You can also enjoy a wide range of leisure and culture promotions of the city.
With JoTMBé, you can enjoy these services in your personal area, which can be accessed both from the TMB website. the TMB App, and from any other device, either a computer, mobile or tablet.
How can I register in the personal area of JoTMBé?
You can register in the JoTMBé personal area, through either of the following options:
- Through an email address and password.
- In Facebook or Google, using the access credentials to these networks. Once in the personal area, you can set a password, if you wish.
I already have a user account. Do I have to register again?
No. If you are already registered in JoTMBé, you don't have to register again. With the user account you have created, you can access and enjoy all the services and advantages on offer.
Why can't I register in JoTMBé?
Check that your email address is correct. You may have written it incorrectly, or you already have another account created with this same address.
It is not possible to create more than one account with the same email address.
I have forgotten the password of my JoTMBé account. How can I recuperate it?
If you can't remember the password of your JoTMBé account, follow the steps described below to reset it:
- Enter "Login" and click on "Have you forgotten your password?"
- Then enter the email address with which you registered to the personal area of JoTMBé and press the "Send" button.
- You will receive a mail at this email address, with a link to create a new password. If this message to reset the password does not appear in your inbox, check that it is not in your junk email folder.
We recommend you to register with the email address you normally use, so that you remember it easily when logging in. Another option is to access your personal area, is to enter through Facebook or Google.
I can't login to my JoTMBé personal area. Why is this?
If you can't access your personal area of JoTMBbé, it may be because your account is not yet activated. If on entering your access data, the "This user is not yet activated" message appears, it means that your account has not yet been activated. To activate it, click on the link found in the email you received when you registered. If you can't locate this email, even after looking in the junk mail folder, you may receive it again by clicking on "Have you forgotten your password?" and the section "Login;.
Can I enter my JoTMBé personal area with a different login option?
You can access your area with a different login option than the one chosen when registering. However, please remember that the email address you provided when registering, must be the same as the one associated to your Facebook and Google accounts, if you want to access your personal area through either of these social networks. If the email address is different, a new user account will be created.
How can I access JoTMBé promotions?
To access JoTMBé promotions, enter the"Promotions" section. The click on the button "Participate" of the promotion you are interested in. You will be taken to a new page containing a detailed explanation of the promotion and the instructions to take part.
Apart from registering in JoTMBé to participate, you may be asked for additional data required in the participation conditions.
Can I also manage my inquiries and preferences in TMB App?
Yes. You just have to identify yourself to the TMB App with your JoTMBé account, to have access to your personal area. Here you will be able to consult favorites, places and routes, along with your personal configuration, in the same way as in the TMB website.
What are the services and advantages of TMB App?
With TMB App you can access all the services offered by JoTMBé, in your mobile or tablet. These include quickly obtaining all the personalized information you need to travel daily on TMB public transport. You will also be able to take part in a range of leisure and culture promotions of the city.

How can I download the TMB App?
TMB App is free and is available for devices with Android or iOS (iPhone) systems.
You can download the application depending on the operating system of your mobile or tablet.
- If you have an Android system, download the TMB App to Google Play.
- If you have a iOS (iPhone) system, download the TMB App to App Store.
Do I have to be registered to use the TMB App?
No, login to the app does not require compulsory access registration. Registration by email, Facebook or Google, is only necessary to enjoy the personalization of services.
You can access all TMB App information free of charge and without entering your personal data.
Do I have to be registered to access TMB App personalized services?
In order to access your personalized information, such as your stored favorites, places and routes, you have to register in the JoTMBé personal area, through an email address and a password, or a Facebook or Google account, using the credentials of these networks.
Remember that your personal data will be legally protected, according to the terms and conditions of JoTMBé.
What are the advantages of personalising the information?
When you personalise information, the TMB App provides quicker and easier access to everything you need to know about travelling by public transport. You can personalise your home page, have direct access to your saved favourites, places and journeys and receive service alerts concerning routes, stops and stations on the bus and metro networks.
Can I manage all personalized information stored on the application in my computer?
Yes. You simply have to identify yourself in the website with your JoTMBé account, and you will access your area. Here you can manage and consult favorites and your personal settings in the same way as with the TMB App.
Which versions of the operative system of mobile devices are compatible with TMB App?
In order for you to be able to download or upgrade the TMB App to your mobile or tablet, you should have version 4.4 of the Android system, or version 9.0 of the iOS system, or above.
