T-mobilitat for children and dependants
From your account, you can register them, manage their profiles and buy the cards and tickets they are entitled to, such as the T-16 or the T-jove.
Register a child or dependant (online)
To manage T-mobilitat for a child or dependant, you must first have a T-mobilitat account.We explain how to register a child in three steps. You can follow the same process to manage adult dependants.
-
If you do not have a T-mobilitat account yet, create one before starting the process. You can do this in just a few minutes through TMB Tickets or TMB App.
-
You can do this in two ways:
- Automatic validation: authorise the data check through the data exchange platform between public administrations (PICA). If the details can be verified, registration is immediate.
- With documentation: if you do not authorise the data check or automatic verification is not possible, you will need to upload the following documents:
- The child’s valid DNI or NIE (front and back) or valid passport (page showing the photograph and personal details).
- Family record book (page showing the book number and the child’s details) or, for children born from 2022 onwards, digital birth certificate.
The document review may take up to two days.
-
Go to the Dependants section and check that the child’s name appears.
You can then manage their profiles and buy the cards and transport tickets they need.
Apply for the T-16 card (online)
Have you registered the child? You can now apply for the T-16 card in four steps.-
- Go to TMB Tickets > T-mobilitat account > Dependants.
- Select the child.
- Select Add a profile and choose T-16.
Once the T-16 profile has been assigned, you can continue with the application.
-
The T-16 is a free transport ticket. To use it, you need a T-mobilitat T-16 card with a specific design. The card has an issuing fee of €4.50.
Request it from the Request support option in the child’s Dependants section.
-
You will receive the card at your address within approximately ten working days.
If you need to, you can check the status of your application in TMB Tickets > T-mobilitat applications.
-
When you receive your card, activate it before your first journey so you can validate it correctly.
Young profile and T-jove ticket
Unlike the T-16 profile, the Young profile is assigned automatically when someone under 30 registers for T-mobilitat. No additional steps are required.-
The Young profile allows you to buy and use the T-jove ticket until the day before the holder turns 30.
If you buy a T-jove ticket and validate it before your 30th birthday, you can continue using it until the ticket validity period ends.
While the T-jove ticket holder is under 18, the only support where this ticket can be loaded is the personalised T-mobilitat card.
Once the holder turns 18, they can also use the e-wallet, if they wish.
-
When the child turns 18, they can unlink themselves from your account and have their own T-mobilitat account, which they can manage independently.
This unlinking process can be completed online through TMB Tickets.
Register a child in person
Would you like to register a child at a Punt TMB? Check how to prepare for your appointment and which documents you need to bring.-
- As the responsible adult, you must have a T-mobilitat account. This is required to register a child.
- We recommend booking an appointment, although it is not mandatory.
- The child can attend the appointment, but they do not need to.
- One of the following people must attend the appointment:
- the child’s mother or father;
- their legal guardian;
- an authorised person, provided they are aged 18 or over.
-
If the child’s mother, father or legal guardian attends, you must provide:
- the responsible adult’s original identity document;
- the child’s original identity document.
-
If an authorised person attends, they must provide:
- the authorised person’s original identity document;
- the child’s original identity document;
- the original identity document of the child’s mother, father or legal guardian, or a copy;
- the completed authorisation form.
Un cop comprovada la documentació, donarem d’alta el menor perquè puguis gestionar la seva T-mobilitat des del teu compte.
