On 15th March, the Zurich Barcelona Marathon will be held, with one of the most spectacular routes in the world and an all-urban circuit running through the heart of the city.

Transport recommendations
Due to the extent of the disruption, between 6.30 a.m. and 4 p.m., we recommend using the metro for journeys that cross the race route.
You can get to the starting line by metro getting off at Catalunya (L1/L3), Passeig de Gràcia (L2/L3/L4) or Urquinaona (L1/L4) stations.
To get to the finish line, you can get off at Arc de Triomf station (L1).
Other Barcelona Zurich Marathon events
- On Saturday 14th March at 9.30 a.m., the Breakfast Run will take place over a 4km circuit, starting out and finishing at Plaça Joan Puig i Cadafalch, running through the main parks, streets around Montjuïc mountain and the Olympic Ring.

Due to works on Carrer de Vila i Vilà, the Montjuïc funicular will be out of service from Monday 20 October for approximately 5 months.
Recommended transport to Montjuïc
You can get up Montjuïc by the following means:
- Metro L2 and L3 to Paral·lel. There, take the special bus which runs on the Funicular route with the same operating hours (Monday to Friday, from 7.30 am to 9.00 pm and Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm).
- Metro L1 and L3 to Espanya. From there take the number 150 bus (Pl. Espanya - Castell de Montjuïc).

On Saturday, 14th March, a day before the Zurich Marató de Barcelona, the Breakfast Run will be celebrated, the most festive race of Montjuïc.
- Date: Saturday, 14th March
- Time: from 9 am to 11 am, approx.
- Route: the race starts and ends at Plaça de Josep Puig i Cadafalch, and goes by Carrer de la Guàrdia Urbana, Passeig de Santa Madrona, then it goes behind Museu d'Arqueologia de Catalunya until Passeig de Jean Forestier, turns on Monestir de Sant Miquel, continues under the bridge of Avinguda dels Montanyans, Camí de la Foixarda, Carrer del Polvorí, Avinguda de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia and finishes at Plaça de Josep Puig i Cadafalch.
- Lines affected that will be diverted or operate on a shorter route: 13, 55, 150 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (red route).

Due to the Women's Day demonstrations, there will be disruptions to bus and metro services on March Sunday 8th. Minimum services will be 85% throughout the day.

How to get to the MWC and the 4YFN

Metro:
- L9 Sud (Aeroport T1 - Zona Universitària): You need to get off at Fira station or at Europa/Fira station. From 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm, there will be extra trains at line L9 Sud, between Collblanc and Fira stations.
- L10 Sud (ZAL | Riu Vell - Collblanc): you need to get off at Foc station and walk 6 minutes to the North entrance of the pavilions.
- L1 (Hospital de Bellvitge - Fondo): get off at Torrassa and change to L9 Sud to Fira or Europa/Fira or change to L10 Sud to Foc.
- L3 (Zona Universitària - Trinitat Nova): get off at Zona Universitària and change to L9 Sud to Fira or Europa/Fira.
- L5 (Cornellà - Vall d'Hebron): get off at Collblanc and change to L9 Sud to Fira or Europa/Fira or change to L10 Sud to Foc.
Bus:
- To get to the halls you can take bus routes H12 (Gornal - Besòs Verneda), 46 (Pl. Espanya - Aeroport BCN) and 65 (Pl. Espanya - El Prat) to stop at Plaça Europa and V1 (Districte Gran Via l'Hospitalet - Av. Esplugues) to stop at Av. Joan Carles I - Av. Gran Via. With lines X2 and X3, you can get to Fira and Europa Fira from plaça Espanya.
- There will be a special bus running between the Fira Gran Via and Plaça d'Espanya with 100% electric vehicles. On 2, 3 and 4 March, the special bus will run from 8 am to 8 pm, every 7-8 minutes, approximately. On 5 March the special bus will run from 8 am to 4 pm, every 11-12 minutes, approximately.

From January 20th to 22nd a new edition of the ICE trade fair will be held at the Fira Gran Via - Barcelona.
You can get to the Gran Via - Barcelona exhibition centre by:

On Saturdays from January 17th to March 28th, at 12 p.m. and 6 p.m., live music returns to the streets of Barcelona. Sons de Ciutat presents a new edition with concerts featuring jazz, indie, classical, folk, pop, funk, soul, rumba, opera, and electronic music.

Connection between L4 and L5 closed at Verdaguer station
Transportation impacts and recommendations
Until October, due to improvement works, the connecting corridor between metro lines L4 and L5 at Verdaguer station will be closed.
To enter or exit the Verdaguer station, you can use the Passeig Sant Joan access for L4 or the Bailèn access for L5.
The connection between metro lines L4 and L5 has to be made on the street, following the signage. When re-entering Verdaguer station and validating your ticket, no trip will be deducted.
