Ernest Lluch new station
From July 25
Barcelona metro line 5 gets a new station, Ernest Lluch, between the Pubilla Cases and Collblanc stations. The station is located under Carretera de Collblanc, on the boundary between Barcelona and Hospitalet de Llobregat.
Ernest Lluch has three levels: street, foyer and platforms. The foyer, with an access per municipality on either side of Carrer de Collblanc, is located at the junction for the Trambaix stop. An emergency exit is located at the other end of the station, on the corner with Carrer d’Ernest Lluch, in Hospitalet de Llobregat. Being newly built, it is adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Its official opening means there are now 162 stations on the Barcelona city and metropolitan area metro network, and 20 stations in Hospitalet.

A station that facilitates tram interconnections
Thanks to its location in Carretera de Collblanc, by the Parc de la Torre Melina, Ernest Lluch is an ideal station for interchanges with Trambaix, with lines T1, T2 and T3, and various urban and intercity bus lines, thereby increasing the coverage of the metro service while also promoting intermodal travel.
Extension of the H8 bus line
From July 25, the new Ernest Lluch stop will be added to the H8 line in Les Corts, to improve its service and connect it with the metro.
Tribute to a victim of terrorism
The new station is named in tribute to the historical socialist leader, a former Minister of Health with the Spanish government, who was murdered in a terrorist attack in 2000.E
