1. What is it?
The bus on demand service is one that adapts itself to journey requests received in advance.
The stops are fixed, and the routes and service frequencies are generated according to the requests received based on these pre-established stops. To make use of the on-demand service you have to specify the time you would like to be picked up and the stops you will get on and off at.
Unlike other bus services, the on-demand bus will not follow a fixed itinerary but will take the shortest route possible to connect the stops where customers wish to get on and off the bus.
2. Route and stops
The bus on demand will connect the upper and lower parts of Torre Baró, the lower part being where the neighborhood facilities and public transport connections are located. There is a network of pre-established stops on which to base routes and service frequencies according to the requests received.
The bus on demand is able to stop at: 2281 - Av. de Vallbona – CAP Ciutat Meridiana, 2328 - Estació RENFE, 2330 - Av. Rasos de Peguera – Pl. 3. Timetable
- Workdays: from 07:00 to 20:30
- Saturdays: from 08:00 to 20:30
- Sundays and Public Holidays: 09:00 to 20:00
Requests are not accepted when these would mean that the bus has to provide service beyond 21:00.
4. How to request it
To make a reservation: Register (the first time only). Call the toll-free number 900 92 75 75 (operational between 07:00 and 20:00) or use the elMeuBus app. From the network of stops shown on elMeuBus, indicate the pick-up stop, the destination stop and your preferred time. You will receive a confirmation via the same channel through which you made the request. Be at the pick-up stop 5 minutes before the time you requested. Cancellations should be made as far in advance as possible.
When making the request, you will be able to indicate how many passengers there are, up to a maximum of 5.
If you have not submitted a request, you can still use the service subject to availability according to the route planned on the driver's screen, so long as your destination does not alter the programmed route.
The service can be requested at any time, although the shorter the timescale between the request and the pick-up time, the less possible it is to guarantee that the bus will be at your stop at the time requested. You can also request a regular service (for example: every Monday, every workday, every morning at a specific time, etc.).
If you use the app to make your reservation request, you will receive a message to advise you if the bus is already full. The same information on availability will be given straight away if you make your reservation by phone.
You can amend the service you have requested at any time via the elMeuBus app or by calling toll-free 900 92 75 75. The amendment (time, route, number of people to collect or a combination of these) will be accepted so long as the rescheduling does not impact on any other requests received.
