Disruption and recommended transport
We welcome La Mercè, which is here to bring the city’s annual celebrations to life. From September 23 to 27, we’ll be celebrating one of the city’s most iconic festivals, where tradition, culture, and fun come together to fill our streets with life. Plan your route to reach all the event locations using public transportation.
Transport recommendations
There will be extra metro services, which will be running non-stop from 5 a.m., 23 September, to midnight, 24 September and from 5 a.m. on 25 September until midnight on 27 September.
We advise using the metro for getting around the city centre and travelling to the events’ areas.
In the event of high passenger numbers, make sure that at all times you follow the instructions given by staff, who will be in contact with the public safety authorities. Public announcements on loudspeakers and illuminated panels will also keep you informed and provide any necessary instructions.
Bus service will be increased on the 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th and 27th, with more buses running during the main events and more frequent service at events expected to draw large crowds, such as those held at Espigó del Gas, Bogatell Beach, Port Olímpic and Parc del Fòrum.

Old Estrella Damm Factory
Transport recommendations:
- Bus: lines D50, H8, H10, V21, V23, 19, 33, 34, 47, 117, 191 and 192.
- Metro: get off at Encants station (L2) or Sant Pau | Dos de Maig (L5).
Avinguda de la Catedral

La Mercè Activities
The La Mercè Parade
The La Mercè Parade takes place on Thursday, 24 September, at 5.30 pm, from Plaça de Catalunya to Plaça Sant Jaume.
You can get there by:
Disruptions to the bus service during the Parade:
- There will be disruption between 3.00 pm to 9:00 pm approximately
- Route: starts on the Besòs side of Plaça de Catalunya and continues along Carrer de Fontanella, Via Laietana, and Carrer de Jaume I to Plaça de Sant Jaume.
- Lines affected whose routes will be diverted or limited: D50, H16, V15, V17, 19, 39, 47, 55, 59, 120 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (blue route).
- Cancelled stops: 123, 148, 211, 230, 667, 780, 1039, 1040, 1067, 1069, 1071, 1076, 1103, 1210, 1257, 1476, 1477, 1599, 1600, 1602, 1673, 1905, 2920, 2923, 3328 and 3443.
Drone display
On Thursday, the 24th, the drone display “El fil vermell. De Barcelona a Shanghai” will take place at Barceloneta Beach (Espigó del Gas). From 9:00 p.m. to 9:20 p.m. and from 10:00 p.m. to 10:20 p.m., you can enjoy a light show with a rich history behind it.

- Metro: getting off at Ciutadella | Vila Olimpica (L4) station.
Disruptions to the bus service during the drone display:
- There will be disruption between 8.00 pm to 11.00 pm approximately
- Location: L'Espigó del Gas Beach.
- Lines affected whose routes will be diverted or limited: D20, V15, V19, V21, V27, 47, 59 and 136.
- Cancelled stops: 2, 273, 413, 955, 956, 1281, 1282, 1283, 1284, 1285, 1604, 1605, 1606, 1784, 1788, 2306, 3332 and 3348.
17th Barcelona International Firewoks Festival
On Friday 25th and Saturday 26th, a new fireworks festival will be held on Barceloneta beach (Espigó del Gas). From 10 pm to 10.20 pm, you can enjoy a spectacle of lights and colours in the night sky.
You can get there by:
- Bus: lines D20, H16, V21, V27, 47, 59 and 136.
- Metro: getting off at Ciutadella | Vila Olimpica (L4) station.
Disruptions to the bus service during the 17th Barcelona International Firewoks Festival:
- There will be disruption between 8.30 pm to 11.00 pm approximately, on both days.
- Location: L'Espigó del Gas Beach.
- Lines affected whose routes will be diverted or limited: D20, V15, V19, V21, V27, 47, 59 and 136.
- Cancelled stops: 2, 273, 413, 955, 956, 1281, 1282, 1283, 1284, 1285, 1604, 1605, 1606, 1784, 1788, 2306, 3332 and 3348.
Correfoc La Mercè
On Saturday 26 September, the Correfoc de La Mercè is held, with a route along Passeig de Gràcia.
You can get there by:
- Bus: lines H8, H10, V15, V17, X1, 6, 7, 22, 24, 33, 34, 39, 47, 67 and 114.
- Metro: getting off at Diagonal (L3 / L5) or Passeig de Gràcia (L2 / L3 / L4) station.
Disruptions to the bus service during the Correfoc:
- There will be disruption from 8 a.m. until the end of service, approximately.
- Route: on Passeig de Gràcia, between Avinguda Diagonal and Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes.
- Lines affected whose routes will be diverted or limited: H10, V15, 7, 22 and 24.
- Cancelled stops: 4, 55, 182, 281, 313, 577, 1078, 1136, 1144, 1207, 1247 and 1497.
Inclusive Day at La Mercè
On Sunday 27 September the Inclusive Day will be held, a wide range of adapted sports for everyone, on Passeig de Gràcia, between Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and Plaça de Catalunya.
You can get there by:
- Bus: lines H8, H10, V15, V17, X1, 6, 7, 22, 24, 33, 34, 39, 47, 67 and 114.
- Metro: getting off at Diagonal (L3 / L5) or Passeig de Gràcia (L2 / L3 / L4) station.
La Mercè 2026: Pyromusical
The La Mercè festivities come to an end, and as is traditional, the Pyromusical will bring the festival to a close. The Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta will be packed with spectators enjoying the show.
- Date: Sunday, 27 September.
- Time: 10 pm.
- Location: Passeig Marítim de la Barceloneta - Platja de la Nova Icària.
- You can get by: We recommend taking the metro and getting off at the Ciutadella | Vila Olimpica (L4) or Barceloneta station (L4).
Disruptions to the bus service during the Pyromusical:
- There will be disruption between 9.00 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., approximately, on both days.
- Location: La Vila Olímpica del Poblenou.
- Lines affected whose routes will be diverted or limited: D20, H14, V15, V19, V21, V23, V25, V27, 47, 59, 136 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (red route).
