TMB’s commitment to accessibility
This application applies the requirements of UNE-EN 301549:2022, considering the exceptions of RD 1112/2018.
The TMB App has been developed with the aim of facilitating universal access for all individuals who consult it, regardless of their physical, sensory, or intellectual abilities, and the technical context in which they use it (type of device, software, connection speed, environmental conditions, etc.).
Therefore, we work with the objective of removing barriers that hinder access to information and communication.
TMB’s commitment is to meet the 'Double-A' (AA) compliance level, as required of public administrations by European and national legislation.
Regulatory context
Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council of 26 October 2016 establishes the rules required of member states to ensure that all public sector websites and mobile applications, regardless of the device used to access them, meet the accessibility requirements set out in the UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard, concerning accessibility requirements for public procurement of ICT products and services in Europe.
The UNE-EN 301549:2022 standard is primarily based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, from August 2018. Specifically, the AA level must be met. However, the standard also includes other additional, mandatory, and conditional requirements.
The directive is mandatory but not directly applicable, which is why, at the national level, a royal decree has been developed that establishes the scope and minimum requirements. The national transposition is Royal Decree 1112/2018, of September 7, on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of the public sector.
