Recommended transport

Viu Montjuïc will be held on the weekend of 3 and 4 October. This celebration will see around forty cultural institutions based in Montjuïc offering their own and joint co-creation activities throughout the weekend, demonstrating that the mountain is also a cultural and architectural hub of the highest order.

You can get to Montjuïc mountain by:

  • Bus:
    • The line X3 bus takes you to various locations such as the CaixaFòrum, the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, Poble Espanyol, the Historic Botanical Garden and the Foixarda Tunnel.
    • The line 13 takes you to various locations such as the CaixaFòrum, the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, Poble Espanyol, Can Sabaté Park, the Francesc Candel Library, the Historic Botanical Garden and the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum.
    • The line 55 takes you to various locations such as the Espai Bombers, Plaça de Margarida Xirgu, the Teatre Lliure, the Archaeology Museum of Catalonia, the National Art Museum of Catalonia and the Joan Miró Foundation.
    • The line 107 (which only runs on Sundays) takes you to Montjuïc Cemetery.
    • The line 125 takes you to various locations in Montjuïc, including the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, the Barcelona Botanical Garden, the Foixarda Tunnel, Can Sabaté Park and the Francesc Candel Library.
    • The line 150 takes you to CaixaFòrum Barcelona, the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, Poble Espanyol, the Historic Botanical Garden, the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sports Museum, the Joan Miró Foundation, Montjuïc Castle and the Joan Brossa Gardens.

  • Metro: getting off at Espanya (L1 / L3) or Paral·lel station (L2 / L3) and then take te Funicular.
