The WHO has declared the Coronavirus as an international public health emergency.

In order to help in planning journeys and avoiding crowds, TMB is setting up an application for the public, with indicators of the estimated average occupancy. It will be possible to consult per line, direction and time slot for the metro; and per route, direction and time slot for the bus. These indicators will be given in the environment of the TMB corporate website.
Estimated occupancy rates could be affected in the event of unexpected incidents in the service.
When you look up your line, the system will show you the estimated average occupancy level for the day and time you have selected.If you want to consult other days or time slots you can do so by selecting the configuration options.

Unused or expired transport tickets
The Metropolitan Transport Authority (ATM) compensates the T-jove degrees for university students affected by the latest mobility restrictions has also been launched.

Sanitary Recommendations
The medical authorities have settled generic meassures to prevent the virus spreading and it is crucial to accomplish them in order to protect yourself and the people around you from respiratory illnesses:
- It is mandatory to wear a mask.
- Wash your hands often (with soap and water or alcohol solutions 70%).
- Cover your mouth and nose with disposable tissues or the inside of the elbow when coughing or sneezing and wash your hands immediately.
- Avoid contact with people suffering from acute respiratory infections and have coughing, sneezing or expectorations.
- Avoid sharing food, utensils and other objects without cleaning them properly.
- Make sure you keep a safe distance from other users of public transport.
- When you leave public transport installations, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or a hydroalcoholic gel, as soon as possible.
- Avoid using public transport if you feel unwell or are in a risk group. Do not travel, under any circumstances, if you have been diagnosed with coronavirus or if you have any symptoms of the disease.
- Work remotely, if this is possible. If you have to travel, avoid peak times whenever possible.
- Anticipate that travel on public transport may take longer than normal. You may find limited access and safety controls.
- When using public transport, it is recommended not to speak, and it is totally forbidden eating, drinking or any other activity involving taking off the mask.
Metro
- The costumer's attention is provided through the staff working at metro stations, the intercoms, the costumer's attention phone number 900 701 149 (from Monday to Sunday from 8 AM to 9 PM), through our web's customer's attention section and through our Twitter profile @TMBinfo.
- The entire offer is provided and following the standards of the government authorities.
- The underground timetable is from Monday to Sunday from 5.00 am until 12 pm, until further notice.
- Please stand patiently in an orderly queue at the entrances and exits of train and metro stations.
- Please leave space for the traveller in front of you when validating your ticket.
- When walking through the station corridors, please walk on the right hand side, leaving space for other travellers walking in the opposite direction.
- On the escalators and conveyor belts, stay in a single line and do not overtake those in front of you.
- Do not fill up the lifts.
- On the platforms, leave plenty of space in front of the doors, allowing space for travellers getting off. Enter without crowding.
- While waiting on the platform for the metro to arrive, spread out along its entire length to keep the maximum space between travellers.
- Inside the metro, spread out over the entire length of the vehicle. In accordance with the regulations, all seats can now be accommodated.
- Doors on metro open automatically in all series of trains that are technically able to do so.
- Cleaning and disinfection measures at trains and stations have been intensified.
- The metro environment gets renewed constantly to prevent contagion.
Bus
- Drivers won't be selling tickets. You can buy tickets online, at TMB App, a the metro station's vending machines ot at some bus stops.
- With the TMB App, you can buy single bus tickets and validate them on the application itself. This is very practical system as they are digital tickets stored on your mobile phone and you can validate them directly from the TMB App by scanning the QR code that you will find on TMB buses.

- Inside the bus, spread out over the entire length of the vehicle. In accordance with the regulations, all seats can now be accommodated.

- Cancelled service:
- Lines 102, 103 and 104 services have been cancelled until further notice.
- Cleaning and disinfection measures at buses have been intensified with ozone cannons.
Punts TMB
- All the Punt TMB offices are open to the public at their usual hours.
- Management can be done online from the virtual office. You can request an appointment for the procedures that are carried out in person at the Punts TMB.

Other TMB services
Telefèric de Montjuïc
As a preventive measure, the cable car will run from 11 AM to 6 PM, until further notice.
Airport Terminal 2 closed
From December 1, Terminal 2 of the Airport will be closed. All flights depart and arrive at Terminal 1. Metro line 9 Sud and bus line 46 maintain the services that pass through T2.
