Disruptions to L5 metro
Disruptions to L5 metro
From Friday 1 July to Wednesday 31 August, inclusive, partial closure of L5 for improvement works. The closures will be:
- From 1 to 31 July: the section between La Sagrera and Horta will be out of service. The line will operate normally from Cornellà Centre to La Sagrera and from Horta to Vall d’ Hebron.
- From 1 to 31 August: the section between La Sagrera and El Carmel will be out of service. The line will operate normally from Cornellà Centre to La Sagrera and from El Carmel to Vall d’ Hebron.
Transport recommendations
To get around the affected area, we recommend using the metro, conventional buses and the special bus service for people with reduced mobility.
Metro
We recommend using the different metro lines to reach the stations of the section affected. The following connections are available:
- L3:
- Allows you to get to Diagonal and Vall d’ Hebron.
- L4:
- Allows you to get to Verdaguer and Maragall.
The metro service runs Sunday to Thursday, from 5 am to midnight, Friday, from 5 h to 2 am and all night service on Saturdays.

Special bus
In July, there is a special bus service from La Sagrera to Horta and in August, a second special bus is added between Horta and El Carmel, which will make the same route as the metro.
The special bus is of preferential use for people with disabilities and / or people with reduced mobility.
It will have the same schedule as the Metro, i.e., from Sunday to Thursday, the last bus will leave the origin/final stops at 24.00 h, on Fridays and holidays at 2.00 h in the morning, and on Saturdays it will run all night long. This schedule of shuttle bus services does not guarantee the connection with the last Metro train.
