The Cursa dels Nassos of Barcelona is a popular athletic race held annually on December 31 (Saint Sylvester’s Day), since 1999. Its name refers to the man with the noses, a Catalan mythological character. It is organized by the Barcelona City Council along a 10‑kilometer urban route through the city’s streets. The race takes place in the evening, just a few hours before New Year’s Eve, in a similar way to other Saint Sylvester races around the world.
TMB, as the main public transport operator in Barcelona and its metropolitan area, is working on the impact that the celebration of this race can have on the transport network. In addition, it is also actively involved in the events, being present in a latent way and collaborating on a logistical and brand level.
