Musical performance in the metro during Pride Month (LGTBI+)

When: 12.06.2026

Where: Universitat station

Access: Access by validating your transport ticket

On the occasion of Pride Month, the Barcelona Gay Men’s Chorus (BCNGMC), the largest LGTBI+ choir in Catalonia, will present its new musical Shampoo in the metro.

Next June 12th at 6 p.m. come and enjoy a preview of this show, which will run at Teatre Condal from June 17 to 21. The performance will bring a selection of songs from the production to the facilities of Universitat station, turning them into a lively, open stage for everyone. A proposal that uses music as a way to promote coexistence, respect, and visibility.

Attendees will embark on a journey full of experiences led by the two main characters, Jacinto and Tebi, a couple who run a modern and inclusive hair salon. The show, which leaves no one indifferent and combines music, emotion, and a powerful message about diversity and acceptance, explores the challenges the main characters face through hairstyling and through Mario, the couple’s adopted child, who is not on the same wavelength as the parents.

The event will also include sign language interpretation by Conxita Paricio, ensuring an accessible and inclusive cultural experience for everyone.

TMB’s commitment

In June 2021, a plan for the prevention, detection and response to LGTBI-phobia across TMB’s transport networks was presented, developed jointly with the Observatori Contra l’Homofòbia (OCH). Since then, measures have been implemented to ensure safe, inclusive mobility free from any discriminatory behaviour. This initiative reinforces TMB’s commitment to a more sustainable and equitable society, through actions aimed at guaranteeing equal opportunities, based on the belief that diversity is a source of strength, and firmly rejecting any behaviour that undermines human dignity.

Last year, TMB took a further step by joining the REDI Network (Business Network for LGBTI Diversity and Inclusion), strengthening its commitment to defending the rights and visibility of LGTBIQ+ people.
