On Sunday 5th October, it's the 'Festa de la Bicicleta', a cycling event to celebrate and foster use of the bicycle.
Disruptions to Bus service due to the bicicletada
- Date: Sunday, 5th October.
- Time: from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., approximately.
- Route: the Bicicletada starts at carrer d'Aragó between Passeig de Sant Joan and Carrer de Sicília, and goes along Carrer d'Aragó, Carrer de Vilamarí, Carrer de Floridablanca, Ronda de Sant Antoni, Plaça de la Universitat, Carrer de Pelai, Plaça de Catalunya, Carrer de Fontanella, Plaça d'Urquinaona, Carrer de Trafalgar, Passeig de Lluís Companys, Carrer del Comerç, Passeig de Picasso, Passeig de Pujades, Carrer de la Marina, Carrer de Llull, Carrer de Badajoz, Carrer de Pujades, Carrer de la Marina, Carrer dels Almogàvers, Carrer de Roger de Flor, Avinguda de Vilanova and ends at Passeig de Lluís Companys.
- Buses affected that will be diverted or operate on a shorter route: D40, D50, H12, H14, H16, V9, V11, V13, V15, V17, V19, V21, V23, 6, 7, 13, 19, 22, 24, 39, 47, 54, 55, 59, 63, 67, 91, 120, 136, 141 and Barcelona Bus Turístic (Blue Route and Red Route).

Bicycles are allowed on the metro at weekends. On weekdays, you can take bicycles on the metro from 5.00 to 7.00 pm, from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and from 7.30 pm until the metro closes. Folding bicycles can be taken on at any time provided that they are folded.
