Bicibox in the metro
As a Bicibox user, you can now leave your bicycle safely parked and take the metro. Bicibox is a system created by Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona (AMB) that enables cyclists to register along with their bikes. Once registered, you can park your bike for free in any of the network's cycle lockers for a maximum of 48 consecutive hours on weekdays and 72 hours if the period includes weekend day. The time limit is designed to enable rotation of users. Find out how to register on the Bicibox website (CA).
You can also take your bicycle on the metro at certain times on given days. See the rules on travelling with bicycles on TMB public transport.
AMB and TMB are working together towards a more sustainable and eco-friendly city through more efficient management to live up to citizens' expectations. To foster the combination of bicycle and public transport, Bicibox cycle lockers have been installed at the entrance to a number of metro stations. It is also planned to open bikes lockers inside the stations of Badalona Pompeu Fabra (L2), Mercabarna (L9 Sud) and Parc Logístic (L9 Sud).
You’ll find Bicibox cycle lockers at the following metro station entrances:
- Aeroport T1
- Aeroport T2
- Parc Nou
- El Prat Estació
- Les Moreres
- Europa | Fira
- Can Tries | Gornal
