Night run through the metro tunnels
The Centenary Night Run is a sporting and charity event that is part of the celebrations of the Centenary of the Barcelona Metro. The route covers a 5.2 km stretch of line 2 between Universitat and Monumental stations through the tunnels.
The objective of this sporting challenge is to raise awareness and raise funds for the fight against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a charitable cause chosen by the TMB staff in 2024.
The race is jointly organized by TMB and Corredors.cat with the collaboration of the TMB Foundation, Barcelona City Council, the Amics de l'Hospital del Mar Foundation and the Hospital del Mar Research Institute.
How and when will the night run be?
- The run will take place on November 4, 2025.
- There will be 275 runners (one person leaving every 20 seconds).
- The activity is at night and will take place outside metro service hours, between 1am and 4am (Tuesday, November 4th at night).
- The run will take place on the section of the L2 between Universitat and Monumental stations.
- The total distance of the race is 5.2 kilometers.
What do I need to do to take part?
- Enter the draw. If you want to run through the metro tunnels for a charitable cause like ALS, you must sign up using the draw registration link available on this very page.
- Win a spot. The draw will take place on October 9, 2025, among all individuals who correctly register between 10.00 a.m. on October 6 and 6.00 p.m. on October 8. If you’re one of the winners, you’ll receive an email confirming your spot.
- Complete your registration. Once you receive the confirmation, you’ll need to finalize your registration and make the €30 payment/contribution via the event website specified in the email. The valid period to do this will be from October 10 to 13, 2025.
- Don’t miss out! If you don’t complete the registration and payment correctly within the given timeframe, you’ll lose your right to participate in the race and your spot will be given to another applicant.
