Centenary's climbing time trial
A climing 419 steps of solidarity race.
300 runners accepted the challenge to complete 18 floors of empathy next Sunday, May 18th. The funds raised were donated to children, families, and friends of AFANOC.
On Sunday, May 18th the TMB Foundation and Transperfect Mountain Challenge, sponsored by Orona, and with the collaboration of the TMB Athletic Club, encouraged people to participate in the in the time trial climb at the deepest station in the entire TMB network, El Coll/La Teixonera (L5): over 60 meters of elevation, step by step, from the lowest point to the surface, to be the first to reach the finish line in support of the AFANOC Association and family with childrens with cancer.
How was the time trial?
- The event consisted of two timed runs that each participant must complete consecutively. Each participant had an assigned start time and accessed the station from the competition center on the outside in groups of 20 people.
- The entire group went down to the starting area by elevator, and once at the start, located near the platform, participants were exiting, following the organization's instructions, in groups of 4 at one-minute intervals.
- After completing the first timed run, the results were downloaded from the card before going back down to do the second run.
- Timing was carried out using the SportIdent (SI) system, with electronic cards and bases that was marked at both the start and finish lines.
