Closure of the interchange between lines 1 and 3 at Catalunya statio

From July 6 to September 6.

From July 6 to September 6, TMB will carry out works to renovate all elements of the Catalunya corridor in the interchange between lines 1 and 3. During these renovation works, asbestos removal tasks will also be carried out, although it was no longer accessible. During the works, transfers between the two lines will have to be made via the street level.

The Catalunya interchange between lines L1 and L3 is one of Barcelona’s main underground mobility hubs, connecting two of the network’s busiest lines and structuring the daily flow of thousands of passengers in the city centre.

Works at this location are key to moving towards a more accessible and efficient metro network, and have been scheduled during the summer to minimise the impact on users, coinciding with the period of lower ridership.
