Leisure transport is considered to be transport that is not designed for the mobility of people who live or work in the city, but to help tourist visitors to discover it. This section includes all exceptional transport (Montjuïc cable car and Tramvia Blau), along with tourist buses (Barcelona Bus Turístic and Catalunya Bus Turístic).

The Montjuïc Cable Car offers the best views of Barcelona from the sky. It has 55 cabins with a capacity of 8 passengers each. Each year it transports over one milion and a half people to Montjuïc Castle. It was fully refurbished in 2007.

The Tramvia Blau is a reminder of transport of the past, the romantic vintage vehicle from the beginning of the 20th century. It transported more than 150,000 passengers a year, in a journey through time, up to Tibidabo. The route is short, just 1.3 km, to connect with the Tibidabo funicular, that gives access to this mountain.

The Barcelona Bus Turístic is the official tourist visitor service of the city. There are two routes), with 34 stops and a fleet of over 65 buses. The majority of them are double-decker, open-top buses. They transport around 3 million passengers each year. There is also a special night service (Barcelona Night Tour) during the summer months.

TheCatalunya Bus Turístic is a similar service, visiting places of interest in other parts of Catalonia. The trips start from Barcelona to enjoy Montserrat, the art of Dalí, the wine and cava culture, the city of Girona, the best shopping and much more.
