L10 Sud
Line 10 Sud between the stations of Foc and Collblanc went into service on 8 September 2018, Zona Franca station went into service on 1 February 2020.
This new section of the metro, 8.5 km long with the station Zona Franca, includes eleven stations, three of which it shares with Line 9 Sud (Can Tries / Gornal, Torrassa and Collblanc) and eight that have been newly built: Zona Franca, Foc, Foneria, Ciutat de la Justícia and Provençana, situated in the Santa Eulàlia neighbourhood of l'Hospitalet de Llobregat and along the axis of the Passeig de la Zona Franca and the Marina neighbourhood in the district of Sants-Montjuïc in Barcelona.
The opening of this new line connects Zona Franca with the rest of Barcelona, the airport, L'Hospitalet and El Prat de Llobregat. This represents a notable improvement in the connectivity of a neighborhood of the city with a significant population and an area from which many workers commute.
The new section of the metro has all the attributes associated with automated lines: innovation, technology and safety, representing the growth of the automated metro network and an increase in the number of accessible stations.
What route does it take?
L10 Sud will operate the route between ZAL / Riu Vell and Collblanc, connecting the municipalities of Barcelona and l’Hospitalet.
The current section has a total of eleven stations: ZAL / Riu Vell, Ecoparc, Port Comercial / La Factoria, Zona Franca, Foc, Foneria, Ciutat de la Justícia, Provençana, Can Tries / Gornal, Torrassa and Collblanc.
How does L10 Sud operate?
On L10 Sud, in common with L9 Nord and L9 Sud, the trains share platforms. This means that a train heading for Collblanc or Zona Franca could equally pass through the station using either track 1 or track 2. For that reason, it is important to pay close attention to the information panels in the ticket halls and on the platforms to know which track your train will be using. The screens will also show information about the waiting time for the next train, whether it is the last one of the day or if there any notable disruptions to the service.
In the event of an incident, the information panels will give details about it using yellow lettering.
You can also stay informed by listening to the PA announcements and looking at the TV monitors (screens located at the platform doors).
Frequency of service
Trains operate at an interval of 7'20" on working days and 8'13" on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Overnight between Saturday and Sunday, between 02:00 and 05:00, the trains run every 13'09".
You will find more information on the web page Operating hours.

The line went into service on 8 of September of the 2018 following an opening ceremony(CA), during which local residents were presented with a free inaugural ticket for their first journey on the new metro line.
