An even more accessible website
El TMB's new website is can be accessed from all devices and is adapted for all users
Universal accessibility to public transport is one of TMB's priorities. We are well on the way to adapting to all users, with 140 wheelchair adapted stations of a total of 156. The bus network is already 100% adapted as are the Telefèric de Montjuïc cable cars.
Our commitment to universal accessibility is global and we also wish to provide universal access to information on our transport network, development of the service and our activities via our website.
To make this possible, TMB implemented two projects: one to make the website accessible to the visually impaired and people with other disabilities, and one to provide a version of the site for mobile devices.
The first project was completed successfully and Technosite, a consultancy specialising in the ONCE Foundation, certified our old portal accessibility level AA in 2013.
In regard to the second, a mobile site was launched which adapted all service information from the website for smartphones.
With the new portal, we are renewing our undertaking to ensure accessibility and making all our web content available to all types of devices.
Any user can therefore consult the TMB website from their computer, tablet or smartphone at any time.
The new TMB website is also adapted to users' needs and serves residents, occasional visitors and tourists alike, who will find all the information they need to travel on public transport.
