Map of the new bus network
This coming fall, the last new routes of the high performance network are yet operational.
A completely connected city
On November 26, the last phase of the new bus network, with the operation of five new high performance routes that are an addition to the 23 routes gradually introduced since 2012, ended.
In this last phase, six of the existing high performance routes were modified and twoo conventional routes were substituted by the new services. Regarding the conventional routes, seven adapted their itineraries to the map of the new network.
This fifth phase began on June 25, 2018, with the implementation of three new high performance routes and the operation of a new conventional line.
At the end of this fifth and final phase, the Barcelona bus network consist of a total of 98 routes:43 conventional urban and intercity routes, 27 Bus del Barri or neighborhood routes and 28 high performance routes.

Changes and amendments to routes and stops
The introduction of this new phase brings with it changes to current routes and stops.
These new routes are as direct and straight as possible, designed to be more efficient and logical and always taking into account user comfort and ease.
Existing routes that coincide with new ones have been substituted to avoid duplication and to follow straighter lines to guarantee a speedier and more regular service. With regard to changes in stops, new ones have been constructed and others have been moved to favor bus mobility, to shorten the distance between route interchanges and to even out the distance between stops.
In this phase, network routes 19, 22, 39, 47, 54, 55 and 60 have been adapted to the new design while the itineraries of routes H6, H8, H10, V13, V15 and V17 have been modified.
See all the details of the fifth phase changes at Service status.
The new Barcelona bus route map
The bus network has been transformed by adding four new vertical routes (V1, V19, V23 and V25), a horizontal one (H2) and 28 interchange areas to facilitate connectivity and changing modes of transport: the connection between other bus routes and other forms of public transport (metro, FGC, Tram, etc.) has been improved.
