Metro

Since 1992, all metro stations that are built or refurbished are fully accessible. We continue to work to make the metro more accessible for everyone, gradually adapting our facilities, and installing voice-guided ticket vending machines throughout the network, tactile paving strips for the blind in many stations and door closure warning lights on an increasing number of trains.

Bus

Our entire bus fleet has been adapted for people with reduced mobility since 2007. Currently we make our buses accessible to people with functional disabilities: on board the vehicles, with wheelchair-adapted areas and visual and acoustic warnings when approaching stops, and outside, informative devices for the blind.

Other facilities

The Montjuïc cable car facility has been fully adapted since 2007. In 2008 it received universal accessibility certification. And in order that there be no barriers to communication, at Punt TMB Universitat we have a sign language videoconferencing system for the deaf.

Find out which stations are wheelchair adapted by using the interactive metro map.
