The reorganisation of the Barcelona bus network is a firm commitment for the modernisation of surface public transport and also a major TMB project for the future. The aim is to establish a new bus network adapted to the needs of the 21st century that is more effective, efficient and competitive.

The automated metro: safer and more efficient

Cutting-edge technology at the service of people. The introduction of automated metro trains provides greater safety, reliability and flexibility by adapting supply to demand, amongst other benefits. Consistent with its desire to give the best possible service, TMB is committing to automation, as shown in the opening, in Barcelona in 2009, of the first stretch of line 9/10, the first automated metro line in Spain.

The new Metro Control Centre (CCM) responds to requirements arising from increased activity in operation, particularly the setting up of automated lines, and in control of the metro lines.
