The second edition of the Subtravelling Festival, the Mostra Internacional de Curtmetratges al Metro. This festival of short animated and fiction films on the Barcelona metro was widely supported by public transport users in its second edition. More than 18,000 people attended the different sessions. Likewise, over the 10 days the competition lasted, the website subtravellingfestival.tmb.cat received 33,000 visits. The Subtravelling programme is divided into four sections: Microcurts, Campus, Palmarès and Roda a TMB—a new category incorporated in 2010 with a public invitation to shoot a micro-short film using a mobile phone on metro premises and TMB buses.
Universitat metro station has a special area where we promote music and musicians. The area is also a platform for young creators. Músics al Metro (Musicians in the Metro) is a project of world reference and the festival has become an international reference in cultural programmes. In 2010 the Músics al Metro Festival introduced a new feature: a musical exchange between Porto and Barcelona with the participation of Portuguese musicians who also play in the metro.

The fourth edition of this literary competition organised by TMB in collaboration with Grupo Planeta and which involves writers of renown every year. The Online Short Story Competition (Concurs de Relats Curts Online) is an original formula to encourages passengers in Barcelona and the metropolitan area to write and read whilst also promoting the use of public transport.
